MY POOR BABY GIRL

Zoe put a nice little twist on our week! She stayed home from school with Jeff the other day, both of them feeling pretty puney! Zoe was throwing up ALL DAY LONG! She wouldn't even read her book that she is really into, so that says something there. Jeff got better and even made it to tennis practice, Zoe just got worse. When I came home she was sleeping. She didn't wake up until almost 7 p.m. and when she did she said her stomach hurt, "right here, in this spot", pointing to her lower right belly. She could barely even sit up. I knew right away, having gone through the same thing about 13 years ago. I rushed her into emergency, and within three hours she was having an appedectomy! We both spent the day in the hospital together yesterday playing games and recouping (and yes, I brought my camera and my laptop), and she was finally released late last night. She's pretty bummed that she is going to miss softball tryouts this year too. We're hoping we can talk them into putting her on a team anyway, even though it will be three weeks before she can practice. She's been a trooper, that's for sure.

Reading your post on Zoe took me back to when i was 8. It sounds almost the same as my story lol. Hope she has recovered nicely and can make it onto a team even though she missed the tryouts.
