BACK FROM CAMPING

WOW, that was an action packed 24 hours!

I spent all of Wednesday doing laundry, cleaning the house, packing the truck, etc. just to go camping. We left Thursday morning, came home Friday and now I'll probably spend most of the afternoon unpacking and doing laundry! UUUGH, I guess that is how it works.

Zoe read Harry Potter the entire time (and yes, finished it in a little over a day!) so I'm not sure she even realized that she was sitting on a gorgeous lake with the cool water right behind her. Max was in and out of the blow up raft all day and first thing the next morning. He loved the freedom of being able to row himself around. We found a geocache which is one of the things that brought us up to Crawfish Lake in the first place. I think we're getting a little better at reading those coordinates. We've found a great new hobby! The land around the lake is free range for cattle. That was our biggest complaint. Not only did we wake up to a giant cow in our firepit stirring up ash and dirt, but there were way too many cow pies laying around. Anya, the white dog, found one to roll in shortly after we arrived and had to be bathed in the lake! Yuk!

The lake was nice. My favorite part was the birds. There were three resident Loons cooing to us all evening and early in the morning, the Cedar Waxwings were buzzing around, and I identified a new species (always cool), The Common Goldeneye.
Loving this new camera!!!!

Goodbye Friend....

Yes, it is sad I know, to refer to your computer as your friend, but my laptop is being picked up tomorrow to be serviced and will be gone for a couple days. I don't know what I will do without her to warm my legs in the evening, LOL! I hope this new keyboard's letters don't rub off with all my typing the way this one has! I'm missing the s, e, r, t, h, n, c, i, k and the m. It can't be me and all this typing can it?

Hey there Amy! I just wanted to leave a comment of admiration for all the photos on your blog!

They always look crisp, and yet they have softness to them as well.
Is this an action you use, or a photo filter?

Do tell!!!
