WHAT A SHOW!!!

We're back!!
Fantastic show! Dave and the boys really rocked the hillside! The view was gorgeous, the camping...not too bad, the weather was perfect! Another wonderful 24 hour get a way. I'm already looking forward to next year. And thank you to our friends who helped out with the kids! They had a great time and it was such a treat for us!

Christy and I have been friends since we were about 16 years old. When we were 21 we met Jon and Jeff (who were already friends), and we've all been pretty tight ever since. Our far too few visits are always a fun filled time! We had fun playing with the timer on the new camera! Check out the huge beer that Jon brought and gave to Jeff.

When we got to the Gorge around 2 o'clock the campground was already filled up! There are no marked sites, they just cram you in! LOL! I'll try to get some more photos of "the Gorge in George" camping experience on the blog soon. Here's me and Jon and Christy under the pop up shelter that kept the beating sun off of us! It wasn't bad, maybe 85-90 degrees this year!

The Walk Down... is very long. It's quite a hike from the campground to the 'theater so we went well prepared with lots of water bottles (insert winking/smiley here, but blogger doesn't have them) to hydrate us and took in all the sites. You meet some very interesting people at the gorge!

And the show, is so AWESOME!!!! This band is so TiGhT! and they play so well together. a normally 5 minute song can be carried out harmonized and intrigrated with 2 or 3 other songs and end up in a 30 minute song! The violin and brass players, the drummer, and Dave, they are all so talented! Jeff and I do some good groovin' and dancing at this concert each year. It is such a great "fun time" for us!
