THE DAYS ARE GETTING LONGER!!!!

We had our annual family Winter Solstice celebration on Friday. We've been doing this for several years now and we all look forward to celebrating the shortest day of the year. We do this, by turning off all of the lights. The only electricity we use is for the Christmas music, the heat, and the Christmas lights. We light up every candle in the house and order take-out Chinese. The kids usually get one gift from under the tree to open (this year we opened the new Dragonology board game) and we play games until late. It worked out perfect this year, because Friday also marked the beginning of Christmas break for us!

Later that night, however, Zoe had her bout with the stomach bug that's been working it's way through the family (fingers crossed), and the last two days we've been vegging out in front of ABC family Christmas Specials. I've been working on getting all my school work done and submitted before Christmas and I'm very close! Then I can kick back and enjoy the family a bit. We're hoping to hit the slopes tomorrow (Jeff went up today) for a few hours if everyone is feeling up to it.

CHRISTMAS PAST
Here is half of a HUGE collection of Christmas goodies that I had in my store at DSS last winter. After I moved to PDW and SBB I split the kit. Half of it was repackaged back in July (called "Christmas in July at SBB") and offered at Scrapbookbytes.com. The other half has been hiding for a few months, but you can grab it up here today for free. Link below image.

And if you are interested in picking up the other half of this group of Christmas cheer, I have it marked down for only $1.50 at SBB. You can find it HERE.

What a great family tradition! We spent Friday night battling the pass. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, we'll just have to see when we try to make it back.
