I CAN SEE THE LIGHT.....

.....at the end of the week, that is! Another class is wrapping up for me this week. I should have everything in by next Friday so that the family and I can spend a weekend away in the mountains. I've told everyone that "I am not even going to bring my laptop." Can you believe it? I think the pinched nerve in my leg will thank me. I went to the doctor for the second time a couple weeks ago about this weird dull pain that I have in my leg/hip area and I've been told (for the second time) that it is a "pinched nerve." This time, however, she asked me if I ever "sit crosslegged for a long period of time?" Well...yea, with a laptop on my lap, several hours an evening sometimes. So, blame it on the computer. This weekend will be a great break!

Needless to say, however, if I want to take next weekend off, I had to get going on Christmas and do a lot of school work this weekend. I have finished my family newsletters, and in the next couple days I should have the template I used (plus two others) up in the SBB store for you to pick up and use yourself if you are needing to get that task completed. We have almost finished our Christmas shopping and we are hoping to get packages in the mail this week.

That being said, here are some photos from the weekend.

The snow arrived just in time for the Christmas Parade. Max rode on the cubscout float. Compared to last year when it was like 0 degrees out, this year was quite pleasant.

And Jeff has finished the "light project". Here's the front of the house...I'll have to share photos of the garage and treehouse later.

So it snowed, and it snowed, and it snowed
all day long! We went out to lunch, got some shopping done and stocked up on some groceries (you never know when you will get snowed in). When we finally got home all the kids wanted to do was go play in the snow. Zoe hooked up with her friend, Siobhan and their dog, Bell and they took Lily for a ride around the neighborhood. Bell wore a harness and the girls took turns leading her. When they got to our house I ran out with my camera. Poor Lily, they had her tethered into the sled with a rope holding her in on both sides (seatbelts, they said). Oh the life of a toy dog.

It actually looks like Lily is enjoying herself, I'm sure I would have run out with a camera if they'd trekked by my house :)
