I know...I know....

It's been a very long time since my last post. I'm working on it, but honestly, we've been so crazy busy I just haven't even had time to get my camera out, let alone scrap, design, or blog about anything.

I've been meaning to take pictures of the latest event in our life, but until then I'll highlight them briefly. Check back soon for more detailed info.

School is out, the break has begun. I am up to my neck in school work. This is my last course, and even though I thought "Visual and Performing Arts" would be an easy class, I'm finding that I am stressing about it more than most of the others. Maybe it has something to do with Christmas intertwined into the middle of everything else going on, I don't know.

We got a new pair of finches (both males, I believe, because they are both singing up a storm). I've put a little nest in their cage and they are contemplating sleeping in it instead of their food dish, but not convinced that it would be a better location quite yet. I still have to take pictures of our Dooley bird too (the budgie we brought home a couple months ago). Soon...very soon.

Christmas cards...sent, packages....sent, fudge made, party mix made, staff party attended, teacher gifts given, Solstice celebrated (a couple days early). Tonight is our annual "Cookie and Beer Exchange" at the Streeters, which should be fun! Maybe I'll bring my camera.

We've had snow, single digit weather, furnace issues, car troubles...battery and brakes. The ski hill has yet to open! UUUGH!

My laptop charger cord "literally" blew up the other day. I knew it had a short in it, and Jeff has ordered me a new one. I have been just wiggling it into the correct position for some time now, and the other night I heard a "zap" and then smelled burning wires. Sure enough, it blew and melted straight through the wire. So I've been doing all my school work for a couple days on the desktop. Today, with the extra time from the break, Jeff made a temporary fix on my cord by doing some fancy wirework! So nice to have a handyman around.

OK, so that is about it. I'll get better soon. I promise!
