As Max exclaimed several times last night..."Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday!" I think it comes from his love of expressing his creativity (something I am thankful that both of my kiddos enjoy)! We had planned an evening of creating fun valentines for our friends and family and made quite a mess in the process. We tried to get Jeff to join us, but I think he really enjoyed the evening free from nagging, "Daddy play with me" comments while he sat in the gliding chair just a couple feet from us reading his novel. Max and I stuck with our usual doily creations (and dug out all those old paper scrapping products from my past) and Zoe chose to make candy heart box i-pods with earphones.
I had my own assignment...making 18 individual valentines for my student teaching class. What fun!
