Last Saturday of Freedom...

....soccer games begin next weekend! Not that traveling to out of town destinations for a game every Saturday for the next several weeks won't be exciting, but we won't have the choice of where we are going or what we are doing. We decided to head out for one last Saturday bike ride today. Jeff picked a spot out of Twisp called Dead Horse Lake. Of course there was a geocache out there to draw us in. It was hot, and quite a hard ride, but short enough that we survived the trip. Of course we had to stop at our favorite Pub for dinner on the way home! Check out the panoramic option on my new phone camera!

DAVE and the BAND ROCKS THE HILLSIDE ONCE AGAIN!!!

We had a great time at the gorge last weekend at our sixth annual camp out with the Budd-Welges and the Thompsons, and Saturday night show! This year we had a nice sized group, as April's friends Becca, Troy, and Matt were there and some old friends from Walla Walla (Ant and Jake, and Jake's girlfriend Tiffany) were there too! Ant and Jake are the little brothers of one of my old buddies, Andrew, and I hadn't seen them since they were just little guys! It was a lot of fun! Of course the show was awesome too! It rained most of the day on Saturday while we hung out, played games, snacked and sipped beverages, and played the drums and guitars. Then right before the show, the clouds split and the sun came out, bringing with it the most amazing rainbow! What perfect timing!

We're getting into the routine of normal school life around here. I'm loving my new job, and I start to feel a little more in control of my chaos every day. I'm getting used to planning and grading and more comfortable with my students and the staff. Our kiddos started school a little over a week ago, and they are already deep into their subjects and their social lives! Having a high school student is going to be interesting, I'm sure!

I haven't shared any of my scrapbook layouts in awhile, so I'll leave you all with a few of the most recent ones. All full credits can be found at my SBB gallery. Have a great week!
