Took the Plunge....

...and bought our very first brand new car! I guess with the new job, increased salary, extra hour commute each day (plus snow, ice, and deer on the road) we figured the safety, security, and reliability were worth the six years of payments!

We did lots and lots of research and knew we needed;

1) Decent gas mileage

2) Lots of space (we oftentimes carry four bikes, a canoe, and a week's worth of traveling and camping accessories all at once)

3) Eight seats (yep, we've been spoiled with our previous car, but I can't tell you how often carrying eight passengers has come in handy)

4) A top rack (for that extra luggage, or the canoe)

5) Towing package and hitch(this baby can haul 5,000 pounds which means our bikes, or as Jeff would like to think...a boat someday)

and most importantly (to me....)

6) All Wheel Drive and airbags all around!

It doesn't hurt that it came with satellite radio, built in blue tooth (to talk to the family on my way home from work without picking up the phone), and On Star service (check this out, it is quite impressive).

Wow, I'm blown away! Check out our Chevy Traverse in Cyber Gray (ebony interior). Note: This photo has the 7 seat option. Ours has a full bench in the middle). We were quite picky about what we wanted and it took quite a while, some dealer searching and trading, but they found one for us, just as we wanted.

On our first road trip tomorrow! Traveling Soccer...here we go!
