HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

AND I'M OFF...

...just me and the kids, for our yearly trip to Grandma and Grandpa (Mom and Dad's) house! Jeff's busy with a Ping Pong tournament that he's hosting for the school's Ping Pong Club this weekend so we're going alone. I've been doing this yearly trip with the kids for years now and it seems like every year Jeff's got something going on. My parent's only live a few short hours away, but the change in climate is incredible. It's amazing! It's so nice to see everyone, but in addition to that, it's a great dose of "Spring" that I'm always in desperate need for this time of year! They'll have crocuses blooming, Robins singing and sunshine, I'm sure! Yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

The kids and I baked these cookies last night to take with us, and I also wanted to share the beautiful spring flower bouquet that my sweetheart had sent to me at work the other day! Check out the closeup of the vase, isn't it gorgeous???

JUST SOME CUTIES TO SHARE

Zoe and I did curlers in her hair the other night and Max had to join in. He's so funny! Zoe's hair was so curly in the morning, she freaked out, screamed and washed them all out (UUUGH, pre-teenagers!!!) And then there's Henry, our overly lazy cat, lounging on my bed last night, I couldn't resist snapping this photo of him. Geesh! Isn't that the life!

I'm so tickled PINK!!!!! My dear husband, who worked so so hard on getting his National Boards Certificate for being a Nationally Certified Teacher all of last year has surprised me this week with a little purchase with his extra income he's earned. He bought me this a couple days ago....

I didn't even really have a say in it...he researched, he shopped...(he seems to know what I need/want more than I do even), and it's on it's way. Not sure if it's that he would love to pull me out of this corner in the bedroom a little more often so that I can join the rest of the family in the living room on Friday nights, or if it's the fact that he wants to buy himself new ski boots (I think it may be a little of each), but hey...I'm not complaining.
