I've been trying really hard to set aside scrapping time a couple times a week. I like to have my favorite photos all scrapped for my yearly slide show for Christmas (did I already tell you all this?) Anyway, I got three done this week.

and to share a little fun tip that I picked up from a member at SBB a couple months ago....
I've been marking all my layouts with a signature "cheese". It's very subtle and hidden somewhere on every layout. The kids have been having fun looking for the cheese on all the layouts and I think it will be something fun to do when we look back at our albums over the years. This one is hidden up in the nook of the "A" in the Bedroom Paint layout.
HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS
are up! We are a Halloween family!!! Every year we all have so much fun getting out all our decorations and picking out a couple new things to add to the collection. This year we added the crows, the creepy green clothed skeleton guy and this creepy automated arm that hangs on the front door (holding onto a door knocker). It knocks whenever you walk up to the door. I'm not crazy over that one, LOL. Every year for 10 years we've had a HUGE trick or treating party where we've invited all our friends over to trick or treat down our busy neighborhood street and then come back over for treats afterwards. Well.... I hate to say that for the first time we are skipping that tradition this year. The kids will most likely head out the door with Daddy for a walk down the road and I'll be home studying. I have three Huge papers due and a very intense test to study for (all due the weekend after Halloween) so I'm thinking the stress of planning to have 60 people over just isn't worth it this year. Forgive me friends, maybe we can do it again next year.
Oh, and check out my big giant fork and spoon that I picked up at Jill's "At Home America" party last month. They look so cool hanging on our kitchen wall!
UUUGH, DON'T YOU HATE IT....
when you kids grow up before your eyes? School photos came home this week.
I especially think this last year marked a big change for both my kids. This year we witnessed Zoe's height reach that of her mommy's, and Max's baby teeth fall out and be replaced with big person teeth! UUUGH. This week Zoe wore pale pink eyeshadow to school. She was given a goodie bag of makeup at a Bday party last weekend (thanks Laurie!) and now she wants more. The simple fact that Zoe is so tickled about Halloween and going trick or treating still (she even sewed her own cloak) just makes me happy. She's still a little girl, she is, she is....... Oh, and she has an appointment on the 30th to get evaluated for braces, YIKES!
CHECK OUT THE GREAT DUO KITS
at SBB this week, all at a great price for one week only!!!
BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE...
or at least it will be very, very soon. Brenda Kempf and I made this fun, textured, cozy kit to add to the group of duos. It was so fun to work with Brenda, she's awesome, and oh so talented! You can pick up this kit for only $4.40 this week only at Scrapbookbyes.
I'm going to plant bulbs in my front bed today before hitting the books this evening. I think we are running out of decent weather days. I wish the leaves from our giant red maple would drop so we could begin that huge process. We usually get about 26 bags of leaves off that thing, so it takes several weekends of work.
Have a great week everyone!
