...it's been a long time. Life has just been expectantly full.
This last weekend, after I returned from my lovely test-taking of the last teacher test I need to take (this time the Praxis II), the kids, Jeff and I went to Home Depot and then got a little yard work done. It was sunny and quite warm. I hope it keeps it up.
Here is the first hanging basket I've planted this year. It includes white and yellow Rannuculas and deep red Gerbera Daisies. I can't wait until Mother's Day to do my annual guilt free trip to the nursery and spend the afternoon planting.
So....Zoe has been saying she wanted to get her hair cut. Max was well overdue as well, although he wouldn't admit it (he kept saying he wanted a mullet. geesh!). We made an impromptu appt. and got them both trimmed up nicely. I love both of their new cuts.
Today, my baby turned 8!
We made sure to all get up early this morning so that we could open his presents before school. At school Max got to celebrate again, and received some wonderful B-day wishes from his classmates. Max wanted marshmallow treats on sticks. What a fun, quick, and easy treat. I think we'll be making these again and again. Tonight I took the kiddos out for dinner and after the tennis match we all had cake. Max will get to continue the celebration this weekend when my folks come up to help celebrate and we have a party at the bowling alley. more photos soon!
It's Spirit Week
at the middle school this week. Here is Zoe dressed up for "Role Reversal" Day today. She was so happy to get home after school and get rid of those "manly" baggy jeans, shrit, and tie (all her Dad's). Tomorrow is Famous Duos Day. Zoe's friend Marissa and her are dressing as "Ying and Yang." I think I may have to take my camera to work tomorrow to catch a shot.
Have a great rest of the week!
