A BIG SMILE IN MY DAY!!!
So, our doorbell rang last night...and the kids brought back with them a bouquet of flowers with a note attached, "Happy May Day." I had to chuckle a bit because I remember doing this with Zoe when she was little. Poor Max, however, had never experienced the joy of sneaking up to a doorstep, ringing the doorbell, and then running like heck to a bush or something to hide behind. I have my suspicions of who brought us our beautiful bouquet. I recognize all those flowers, and the yard they came from. Zoe and Max decided to make up a few Mayday bouquets of their own and delivered them around the neighborhood.
My parents are in town, and Max is having his little party tomorrow afternoon. This year, since we are so, so busy, and Max's real Birthday has already passed, we are having a little bowling party at the alley in town. I have to admit I was a little relieved when Max suggested having the party somewhere besides home this year. Not much planning, or work, on my part (and he's happy, which is the real joy in it all). It's going to be a busy day. We start off with soccer in Tonasket, followed by the bowling in the afternoon. Jeff has the last home tennis match all day, and I just finished up making enough spaghetti sauce to feed about 40+ people. The sauce is in the crock pot and Jeff will make the noodles in the morning. He always likes to have a BBQ or potluck on the last home match of the season. Wow, where did the spring go?

I wondered what little May Day fairies had visited my door step :0)
What a lovely surprise. The flowers look gorgeous.
And Happy Belated b'day to Max. I hope the bowling was fun.
