I've Finally Made a New Kit

It's called Up and Away. This kit is HUGE! So much fun, and a little something different. You can find the entire Up and Away Kit HERE, or the Made Pages HERE.

What a Weekend!

It was so nice to have a break from classes for three days. I finished up a class on Friday and my next one doesn't start until Tuesday. I had a plan to get all kinds of stuff done around the house, but unfortunately I've been sick the whole darn weekend. My throat hurt so badly Saturday morning that I ran in to the clinic before it closed for the three day weekend to get tested for Strep (it's going around). I won't know for sure until Tuesday or Wednesday, but now that the symptoms have crawled up into my head and sinuses, I'm pretty sure I just have a full on cold! The family did get me out of the house today, as we had planned a day trip. I'm glad I went, and we got some awesome photos.

Patterson Lake Hiking

We headed up to Patterson Lake which is right near where we stayed at Sun Mountain Lodge this last winter. Jeff had the GPS's loaded with caches (we ended up adding three to our list today), and had heard that there would be some beautiful wildflowers to see. He was so right! Other than the mosquitoes that we were not prepared for, it was a perfect day. First we stopped in Twisp to eat at our favorite little spot, the Twisp River Pub. The kids enjoyed a home brewed cream soda, while we tasted some of the better brew!

We spent a good couple of hours out in search of our caches. They gave us a bit of a challenge this time. Beaver pond is the quaintest little spot. I could have spent all day sitting on that bench watching the birds.

A Freebie Template for You!

I've been needing a new tumbler for work, so when I was in Spokane a few weeks ago I picked up one of Starbuck's 16 oz. mugs with the replaceable liner. I made up a template and now I have the cutest darn cup! Jeff needed his updated as well, but when I tried to use my template, I noticed the size was just a little bit different. Of course, his cup is about 5 years old. So if you would like to use this template, I would suggested printing a blank one first and checking the size. I have included both templates here, the old mug, and the new. Enjoy!
