HERE's WHAT I BOUGHT over the weekend sales
I wish I would have done more, but I was busy most of Saturday, with soccer and household duties and then Saturday night hosting that crazy chat, where we had 70 crazy ladies thinking they are all smarter than a 6th grader, LOL! You had to be there! It was so much fun!
It had been quite awhile since I browsed these two shops! Wow, there are some awesomely talented designers out there. Here's what I picked up from the Funky Playground Designs.
Blingy Strings by Corina Nielsen

and these fun Grommet Overlays and Itty Bitty Ribbons by Christina Renee
and then I moved on to the Sweet Shoppe and grabbed up this very versatile and cool alpha by Shawna Clingerman
These cute pins by Mandabean
And this adorable kit by Dani Mogstad that I just couldn't pass up
And before I left the Sweet Shoppe I spotted THIS and just HAD to have it...
This is a print and put together "Birthday Calendar" by Christy Lyle! I am so so horrible at remembering Birthdays this year, and I'm going to make it a PRIORITY to email and contact all my friends and family over the summer and get one of these sweet little books put together and never forget to send a Birthday Greeting again!!! You can find it RIGHT HERE if you're thinking you could use the same thing.
HERE'S MY FAVORITE PHOTO OF THE WEEKEND!

Max brought home this little pine tree from school on Friday. Someone was giving them out, and he was so proud to finally get it planted in our backyard Sunday afternoon! I hope it grows to be big and tall and provide homes for the little birdies and shade for our yard, just like we gave Max the high hopes of it doing.
TRIP TO HOME DEPOT
I have to say, I was quite impressed with our new store's selections of very healthy bedding plants. No more Wal-Mart flowers for this girl! I filled the cart and then we had to head home. We had Max's little friend Karina with us sporting their "American Idol" glasses from lunch at McDonald's. Gotta love those Happy Meals.

And then I spent a good part of both days planting and weeding. I'm nowhere near being done, we have a fairly good sized yard, with flower beds all around each side of the house and the borders, so it will be July before I get around to each of them I'm sure. This weekend I concentrated on the back door bed. I put in a few new perennials and some new ground cover around the rocks.
That's about it for now! Hope you are all having a great week! We have double header softball games two nights in a row, plus scouts and soccer, so it's going to be another busy one for me! Hoping to get a little designing done too, now that I'm caught up on CT obligations and Team kits! I wish there were about 5 more hours in a day, wouldn't that be nice?
OH, and if you didn't get my National Scrapbook Day Freebie, it's still below for a couple more days! Enjoy!

Amy, I won a GC to your store at SBB for NSD. I just wanted you to know how much I love my Amy kits! The colors are amazing on the papers and the elements are awesome. Thank you so very much.
