(ahhh, gotta love summertime)
OK, remember, I'm really behind so three out of four of these are from last Fall/Winter...
BIG GIFTS (credits here)
Since we really only get our kids one big gift each year, they are a pretty exciting treat! This year we got Zoe one of those Dual Dance Pads that plug into the TV. Her and Jeff have a blast on it. And Max, some of you long time blog readers will remember, got the Cranium Fort Building Kit, which still gets brought out and played with constantly!
First Snow, (credits here), yep, the day after Halloween. And I don't think it melted until March!
Reindeer Food (credits here) A fun tradition
And my favorite one.....

Hummers are Thick!
Still.... even after the fires. I can't believe it. Everytime you walk out the door there are two or three fighting over the nearest feeder. And they have gotten to know us. It's like they aren't even afraid of me anymore. I can make that little "chip chip" sound to imitate and they will come right up to me, right in front of my face. But do you know who they DO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT?????
Henry... I found him hiding deep in the shrubs today, just waiting.... right. If any of you out there know Henry. Oh, my, this cat is so lazy. By the time he jumps out to pounce I'll already have a new batch of hummingbird food made and cooled and ready to put out.
Jill.... I caught it a day too late. The day before I got to your pond it was in full bloom and GORGEOUS. Having never had a pond, I had no idea that the lily blooms only lasted a day. Don't worry though, I see another one coming on. Should be ready for you just in time for your homecoming.
Heeheheheee!!!! Yep, I'm young again!
Thanks Mom! She sent me some moulah to buy what ever I wanted for my Bday last month and while in the city with shopping options (rare for us), I said, "you know what I really want? A pair of roller skates (not roller blades), like I use to have, you know in 1982... with the shoe attached." Well... we searched high and low and these were about the only ones we could find. I was really hoping for the royal blue with the yellow swish kinds from my past. You know, the ones that roll down the drive-way on Portlad Street really fast and turn left onto the sidewalk so smoothly.... Well, these have lived up to their expectations so far. Jeff and I are always looking for ways to get out with the kids and be active, and we've gone out to the new sports complex twice now with our skates and done 2+ miles each time. It's so much fun!!! I think I've even convinced my good friends Julia and Jill to get skates and have a go at it!
This has just gotta make you smile!!!!! I had to run in and get my camera when I saw this littel 1/4 inch (oh, maybe a 1/2 inch) froggie, he's so tiny, sitting there similing at me. I was trying my new Macro Technique that Toni taught me, but I got nice and close and freaked him out and he stopped smiling, frowned and dived back into the water. See, I'm perfectly focused on the lower left of the photo. More practice.
I just love this new Scrapbookbytes Elements Team Kit, so fun and playful. I've used it for a couple projects alrady. Check it out HERE!

What??? Did I say I wanted skates? Hmm...Do they come with elbow and shoulder pads?
I have been very slack in reading your blog lately Amy. Sorry!!
Good on you for getting your own layouts done too. I guess it would get quite difficult to try to design, work, study etc PLUS trying to scrap as well. I have loved looking at them on your blog.
And WooHoo at your new skates. They look fab!!
wow you are on a scrapping roll girl! Congrats for getting so many pages done lately. I know I'm gonna be hopelessly behind yet again. hehe
Love the new skates!!
I love that sibling rivalry layout. So cute with the sunshine and rain elements!
Looks like you're having lot of fun with your new camera too!
