IT'S STAMPEDE TIME!!!
Yep, this is usually the time of year that we totally avoid Omak and don't go there at all. Too many people!!!! Too much traffic (if there is such a thing here in this neck of the woods), too much hype and excitement. Well, you all might remember Max's new obsession with the lifestyle of the "cowboy", so he started asking about the rodeo, and before you knew it we had bought tickets to tonight's show. We went with the Streeters and it was a very exciting night. If you aren't familiar, and I'm sure most of my readers are not, this rodeo is notorious for it's WORLD FAMOUS SUICIDE RACE, which is a dangerous and very short race down an extremely steep hill, across the river and into the arena.
Tonight two horses entered the arena alone and soaking wet, which means they lost their riders in the river somewhere. Max and Dylan were so cute dressed up in all their gear!

A LITTLE BRAGGING FIRST
I'm so glad to be a part of SBB, and I just love to see the monthly Ezine when it comes out each month. This online magazine is so much more than the typical "newsletter". If you haven't checked it out for yourself, you need to pick up a copy and see. This one has 72 pages of wonderful information, reviews, fun and games, articles, tutorials (and a very interesting "digital doll" tutorial that I want to try by Shelleyrae), and did I mention "FREEBIES", Oh my! WHAT ARE WE THINKING????
I'm not sure yet, I'll get back to you this weekend. We've been looking at Petfinder.com for a couple weeks now, seriously considering adopting a new pup. Several reasons. 1. Anya needs some pepping up. Our 9 year old Huskey Lab is getting lazy. We had a friend that brought her little dog (a long haired dachshund) over about a month ago and I've never seen Anya have more fun. I don't think she even realized the little critter was actually a "dog". 2. The kids want a new responsibility. 3. Our babies are no longer babies, daycare has been over for a year now, and I think we're all feeling the need to nurture something little again!
We are driving down to Yakima to check her out on Saturday. Out of 50 applicants on the 5 pup litter they have offered us one of the pups if we decide to take her home. She's (get this), part Chihuahua, part Beagle (which is what we've been looking for), and apparently has all kinds of personality to go with that sweet face. I have a feeling after the three hour drive we won't be coming home empty handed.
