WOW! WHAT A WEEK!

So, it's been crazy busy here. Shannon (my lovely Sister-in-law) and my two nieces came up on Monday to spend a few days with us. We had a great time, or at least the girls and Max and Zoe did. I feel like I missed out on visiting with everone this week! I'm sorry to be absent so much of the time Shannon. This college stuff is a new venture for me, and I'm trying to give it 100% of my effort, and Wow, I'm blown away with everything right now. This is actually the first time in three days that I've got to get on the blog and check my email. I hope things get easier for me. Jeff has been wonderful. He cooked and cleaned and entertained everyone the last couple days. He even took Max and the girls bowling yesterday so I could muddle through the APA formatting book and reread my course syllabus.

I took a break yesterday afternoon and we walked down to the icecream shop (Mckenna got a new cowgirl hat, so her and Max were posing). Mckenna has quite a personality. She told me the longest story this morning about "sparkly butterflies" and "big daddy owls" in crates that she bought and brought home. Seriously, I think this story was over 20 minutes long, without much of a breath inbetween words. She also is quite the cook and was mixing up blueberries, salt, cilantro, lettuce and ketchup for me (Rachel Ray style, she is her idol) last night. I got quite a kick out of my little nieces! Ashlin is the sweetest little baby! She loved her uncle Jeff and the puppy, and couldn't get enough of either one of them. Check out the photo of Jeff sitting in his "man chair" with both of them on his lap. So here you go. Grandma Nancy, I told Mckenna that you were going to absolutely LOVE her red hat!

Puppy is doing well. Jeff keeps getting comments from people (like our friend Dennis) about how good he looks with a little dog like this. I think there was mention of a pink sweater or a doggie purse in the conversation.

My friend Julia is so nice! She took her daughters Aidan and Siobhan, and Zoe and another friend all out for pedicures yessterday to celebrate Siobhan's Bday. Look at these beatiful tootsies!

So, no clue how I am going to keep up on the blog, or designing the next couple weeks. I've been told this is the hardest course (it's a Communications course, not an Education course). I'm doing so much reading and writing (with cite referencing and formatting and all). It's been a long time (12+ years) but it's begginning to come back to me. Hoping I can handle all this once school starts. I know I can do it, just trying to mentally prepare myself for probably the most hectic two years of my life! Wish me luck!
