UUUUGHHH! This is what we woke up to on Saturday!
I've had about enough of that! Jeff's tennis ladder tournament (to place his players) was cancelled, which means it will have to be made up later. We didn't complain having him home for the day though! We spent the afternoon out and about, and then had a great time over at Dennis and Julia's BBQing and playing games with friends.
NEW TOYS
Now that the Geocaching bug has bitten us, we decided it was time to get new GPS's. From Kendal's recommendations, Jeff ordered me the Garmin eTrex Legend (in blue), and himself the Garmin eTrex HCx full color model. Wow! Now this is geocaching. With Jeff's Dad's older model, we had to read coordinates and check them against the internet print out of our coordinate destination. That was fun....but...now it's even more fun! We simply plugged our machines into the computer and downloaded the two caches we went out looking for yesterday. When you get close to the destination, you just look at your screen and follow the arrow. It tells you how far away the cach is and in which direction. We were quite impressed. I'm ready to load them up with caches in Arizona for our Spring Break trip.
That's it for now. I'll be hosting a chat at 2 p.m. PST next Saturday at SBB for anyone that wants to join me. Jeff's parents are coming up, and it's Easter!!! Jeff has his state Knowledge Bowl in Spokane, but we are hoping he'll make it back early evening Saturday. We have so much to do to get ready for the trip. Right now, as we speak, Jeff is filing taxes. We have snow tires to have removed, dog kennel reservations to make, and yard cleanup to do. I am so, so ready for spring! Have a great week!
