VISITORS
Jeff's folks came up to visit this weekend. It was nice to see them (it has been way too long). They came over Thurday evening and brought us a quick fix dinner and we got some visiting in. Friday Jeff took his knowledge bowl team to State in Spokane (they got 11th place!), and Tom and Audrey headed up into Canada to visit some friends. I got some much needed Senior Project work and school work done, and we all got back together again Saturday evening for BBQ Kebobs, a game of Tripoly, and cookies and tea. This morning we met up again at the Koala Street for a fabulous (and filling) Easter Brunch and I snapped this photo of the kids with their Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks for coming to visit! We had a great time!
HAPPY EASTER!!
I always love those late Easters in April. Those are the Easter celebrations when the grass is green, and the flowers are blooming, and the kids get a new summer outfit from the Easter Bunny and wear it outside. March Easters are always so dreary and blah. We made the best of it this year though. The forcast called for 60% rain or snow. Not only did we avoid the snow, but the rain didn't come either. We actually have some crocuses blooming. If the snow comes back and covers them up I may have a serious fit, but until then...
The kids woke up this morning to find two fun filled Easter Baskets on the table. Both kids got new Webkinz, Max got an array of adventure and exploring items, including a pair of real binoculars (or beanaucleeares, as he calls them), and Zoe's basket was full of big girl items like a cute doggie purse, makeup and sunglasses (sigh).
We went out for brunch and returned to a houseful of plastic eggs, and easter eggs hidden all over. I think the Easter Bunny was a little fearful of snow or rain to venture outdoors this year. We were so full after our meal that we decided it was time to go for a walk. We headed down to the river to find the last "in town" geocache on our list. What a cool spot that I didn't even know existed.
We searched high and low, following the coordinates on our GPS and finally found the cache. The irony in it all is astounding. In various catches people sometimes place what is called a "traveling bug." This item usually has a note attached with specific instructions. If you take this item, you must log it at geocaching.com so that it's path can be monitored, and then you take it to another cache and pass it on. Well...This traveling bug we found today was called the "Rolling A"...
The note attached said, "This traveling bug wants to visit places, cities, and states that begin with the letter A." And we just happen to be heading to Arizona next week. How perfect is that! Must be fate! Arizona here we come!
PHOTO SHOOT
It's been awhile since we took some nice family shots, and even though it was drab and dull in the area by the lake, the fallen trees, the rocks, and the river were quite a great spot for photos.

sounds like you all had a fabulous Easter weekend! Happy Easter
Happy 'belated' Easter to you and the family Amy. It sounds like you all had a fabulous weekend. The family photos look wonderful. Did you use actions on them? I would love the secret!!
Ohhh, you guys geocache too??? I just found out about this and there is a huge 10 county event. Our county is included. http://www.alleghenygeotrail.com/
I'd love to get the boys and start this, but we don't have a GPS. So we are going by clues right now. I found the cache owners very friendly on the site.
Happy Belated Easter! Beautiful flower pics!
