Toes, the Lake, and a Fun Weekend

Thank you Grandma Nancy (Mom)!
We used our Birthday money to treat ourselves to pedis today! We were both complaining of rough heels and felt like being pampered a bit. Now, can someone tell me where I get my honkin' toe nails from? Jeff and both kids have pretty small nails, but mine are humungous! The nail salon ladies did think we were sisters today though, so that makes up for it.

We had visitors...
...this weekend. Jeff's sister Janice came up with husband, Mike, and our niece and nephew. It is always so nice when people come to see us, as we live so far away from everyone! Jeff had the whole weekend planned (whether our guests liked it or not), and it was a fun and busy time.

Friday we headed to Pearrygin Lake for some swimming, blow up rafting, and fun in the sun. It's a great park. I wish it wasn't so far away.

Winthrop was suppose to be full of people for the annual Blue's Festival, but we made it in for some sightseeing and out just as they were closing up the roads for the street concert. We headed to our favorite spot, the Twisp River Pub and then home where we all crashed from exhaustion. Here are some shots of the kids on the saddles in downtown Winthrop, Max on the footbridge we discovered, and one of the fawns we saw in a yard.

The next morning, while Jeff, Mike, and the boys went out in the canoe fishng, the girls hit the farmer's market and did some driving around. Kellen had never been fishing before, and I'm so excited that he was the big fisherman of the day! The boys brought home six fillets and we broke out the deep fryer and had a feast!

It was sad to have the weekend end. Everyone had so much fun! Thanks guys for coming to see us!

I've got some more photos to share of the yard, and an awesome dragonfly I found buzzing around today, and guess what? I have a new kit finished. Aloha Manzanita will be in stores tomorrow. Check back for previews and a little freebie! See you tomorrow.
