I'm still recuperating~
Jeff had his 20 year class reunion which began Friday afternoon when friends, Corey and Amanda, came to stay with us. The four of us got dressed up and headed out the door to the bowling alley for the Friday night mixer. It was fun. We bowled, ate dinner, and then about 25 people headed over to our house for the after-hours celebration in our backyard (public apology to neighbors, we were up until 3 a.m.). Even a couple Omak boys showed up to say hi (it was their reunion this weekend also).
I didn't get any photos taken after we returned home on Friday, but here are a couple from the bowling alley.

Saturday morning, despite going to bed when the sun was coming up and the sprinklers were already on, Jeff got up early and headed out for 18 holes with the guys. It was a long game in the warm weather, but they all seemed to have a great time. Jeff made it home just in time to have a short 30 minute snooze and a shower and then we headed to the Elk's Lodge for dinner and karaoke (of which only a handful sang, imagine that). Dinner was great, conversation was even better, and the decorations cracked me up. Check these out...
As if Michael Jackson, purple rain buttons, and peechees don't say it all...Angie and Marnee even had some old "locker posters" that they had made on the old blocky 80s printers, cheerleading outfits, pompoms, annuals and grade school pictures...It was a blast from the past.
Jeff put together a great slideshow of everyone's "then" and "now" shots which everyone enjoyed watching. I was loose with my camera and shooting every which way. Here are a few from the evening that I thought Jeff's family would enjoy seeing.
The group
Jeff, Steve, Kendra, Boyd, Corey, and Eric
Chris, Carl, and Jeff
The two Jeffs
"Brotherly Love," they had all kinds of strange velvet chairs with titles given to each seat; fidelity, charity, etc. They must be used for some Elk's club ritual, but we had some great seats for photo ops!
Chris, Toni, Barb, and Jeff
Julie and Kendra
Brett and Jeff
Jenny and Marnee
The event that cracked me up the most (until our sides hurt, as Julie said) was when we were taking down decorations at the end of the evening. Several people were still there and helping. Jeff noticed that the 21 year old balloons that Julie had found packed away from some high school event all had fishing line attached to them. Everyone tied on a balloon and had a balloon war to see who could be the last person standing. Oh my...what a sight!
We had a few late nighters stay up with us again Saturday night, but we behaved ourselves and play a mellow game of poker. The next morning we all met at the city pool which Julie had reserved for us. There were a few people who made it to the pool that hadn't been around all weekend! This was also a great opportunity for the kids to all get together and have some fun too.

And because the week has been so busy...
HERE's ZOE on her BIRTHDAY!
We actually celebrated in small steps all week because her actual birthday was on Friday when the big festivities were beginning. One night we took Zoe out to dinner without her little bro (what a treat), and one night she had a small sleepover and watched movies outside! Here's the crew
and then on Friday morning Zoe got to open her gifts. We got her a Canon Powershot digital (she is going to photography camp next month) which she was thrilled about.
Here she is taking a picture of me taking a picture of her.
and Max got Zoe a new Wii game, which Zoe has been addicted to. Lynell told us about this one, and Jeff had heard reviews too. It's a winner for sure. Check out Endless Ocean here. Zoe even told me she might want to be a Marine Biologist now. We sure have come a long way since PONG in the 70s and Atari in the 80s! This game is so realistic that you can't help but feel like you are underwater. One of the thing Zoe loves about it is that she can plug in her own music (via SD card) to dive to.
We've got another busy weekend ahead of us. Jeff's sister Janice's family will be visiting, and it sounds like Jeff has a weekend of fun planned already. Ah, summertime~!
