WELCOME BACK SUN!!

That's right, from this day (the shortest of the year) on it will be just getting lighter and lighter here where we live. We have been celebrating the "Winter Solstice" here in our house for several years now and it's become a family tradition that I hope our children will pass on to their own some day. We turn off all the lights and break out all the candles and light up every room. No electricity aloud except the heat of course, some Christmas music and the Christmas light for a little extra sparkle. We order Chinese food and have a great family night together without any other interruptions. Everyone always looks forward to this peaceful, enjoyable night. I had fun playing with the camera settings tonight, and every time I snapped a shot I noticed Max trying to sneak into the picture!

We always let the kids open a couple gifts from under the tree on the Solstice and this year we knew Jeff's parents had gotten them fun games that we could play tonight so those were the ones they got to open. Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa, we had fun playing them, and the outfits you sent are so cute too!

Happy Winter Solstice Everyone!
And a Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Janice!!!
