YIPEEEE!!! and We're COVERED!

I'M SO EXCITED FOR MY HUSBAND JEFF!!

He worked so so hard all last year and part of the year before aiming towards receiving his "National Boards Certification" for being a teacher. It's a grand accomplishment and quite a nice mark on his resume! He can teach anywhere in the Country now (not that we'd want to move), and our state gives a nice little stipend to those who achieve this status each year. Basically, he had to put together a HUGE portfolio on himself and his teaching style. He had to analyze himself in detail, even video tape himself and analyze that. Then write tons and tons of papers, not one of his favorite things to do. He had to package all this up and send it off in the mail last March (knowing that he wouldn't have the results until the end of the year, UUUGH). Next he took a big exam that we had to go out of town for. It covered all areas of Science, and was pretty tough! I'm just so darn proud of him, I wanted to say...

LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO US TODAY!!!

It all started right before lunch, and look how much we had by the time I got home from school this afternoon!! And it's still coming!!! It's about time. We've been having so much freezing rain, I was really getting tired of de-icing my windows in the morning! Of course the kids are hoping for a "snow day" tomorrow, but I'm afraid this county has way way too many snow plows and four wheel drives for that to happen. We can only hope I guess!

Anya is our snow dog. She's half Husky, so she absolutely LOVES IT!!! She was pretty excited when I opened the door for her this afternoon and let her out. First she ran around a bit, shook off, and then went right to the exact spot where her bone was buried under 8 inches of snow, and Waallaa! She settled down right in the middle of the cool stuff to enjoy a few gnaws!

and LASTLY...
Here's the snow people that Max and I made. It took us into the dark to complete them, but what fun!!! I had got us this snowman kit a couple years ago but we haven't used it much. Seems like it's always so cold here that the snow is only powder and it doesn't stick together. Today's snow was perfect!!!

Have a good night!

Congratulations, Jeff! I know that you worked very hard to get your Masters!

Love the snow pictures! Although, it really makes me miss living in that part of the country.
