FAREWELL and WELCOME THE NEW LIFE!

First the Farewell
Today was a busy, crazy, and yet sad and exciting at the same time (is that possible???) day for me. I've been running my home childcare now for 6 years and today was the end. I had to say goodbye to the grinning, dirty, laughing, stubborn, imaginative, sweet faces today that I've come to spend every single week day with over the last several years. Sure I loose one or two each year, and new ones are born or join us in our little family, but I've never had to give them all up at once. At the same time, I'm so excited to do something new. You know how it is, when you venture off into the unknown. I don't even know what my dream job is yet, except that I know it must be working with kids (even the older variety, now that Zoe is older, I have enjoyed them more and more), and I can't see myself giving up my schedule of the school year that Jeff and I have shared for 6 years now. I'll just be on call and take odd jobs here and there until something comes to me. Max is a big 1st grader now, he doesn't need me at home, and I don't need myself here either. Time for a nice summer break and then a whole new cup of tea. One of my lovely daycare parents gave me this beautiful plaque today that sums it all up.

Montana comes home
Here it is! Jeff went and signed the final papers today! Isn't she a beaute? I think she looks rather pretty parked in my driveway too! Things we love that are very NEW TO US; Rear air conditioning, two side doors (one for each kid, no more fights for who's first!), a CD player (yippee!), lots and lots more room in the back, the back seat folds completely flat with extra lift up storage under the floor piece, the middle seats are three separate seats that can move forward or back, fold down or come completely out, everything works, new tires, yeah, I could go on and on, but I won't. And a plus, the purchase came with a free 30 day warranty and we have two trips planned in that time so if something is wrong we will find it! Let us know what you think! I think we'll be driving around the state happy and safely this summer, that's what I think!
