Yard Sale and Celebration!
The yard sale was great! Hot (probably got up to about 97 degrees we guessed) and long, and a lot of work. Jeff ended up with 5 truckloads of stuff going to our friends' house for the sale and only 2 coming back (or being dropped off at the Senior Center or Family Empowerment building). We didn't sell Max's old bunk bed which was a pretty large item, but Jeff did manage to get the garage cleaned up pretty well. Enough to go get his boat today. We borrow a boat from a friend (last summer too) because it's his "extra" one. Very nice of him because we get a lot of use out of it. Now if the river would just go down. It is very high this year and might be awhile before Jeff and Zoe can go fish the river. Back to yardsale news, sorry, rambling again.... Here's a picture my friend Jill took of Jeff and I on the only couch we've owned for the 11 years (+ previous years) that we've been married. It was sad to see it go. So was is sad to see all those years and years of children's supplies go too, and they went quickly! I do have two tubs of toys still that I think I'll bring down to the children's consignment store later this week. I took tons of pictures! Then afterwards we came over to our place (4 families) and had Mongolian BBQ! We'd never done it before, but it was so much fun and so yummy. My friend Dennis is a fabulous cook and had tons of Asian sauces he brought over along with some marinated lamb. I had prepped a bunch of Veggies and meat here also and cooked up some eggrolls, rice and noodles. We had two woks and 2 large frying pans going on the BBQ, an electric hot plate and the stove inside and everyone just made their own. Great way to wrap up a very heated and busy day.
Duck Update
Here are Jack and Jill, at almost 8 weeks old. We let them come out and jump in the kids' little pool since we were getting ready to dump and clean it anyway. Jeff has it set up right at the base of the slide that has returned to the set. Kindof funny, my new daycare licensor came by a couple days ago, and I probably would have been in trouble for some dangerous stunt like that, but instead I gave her my license to go close out for me. Very strange feeling. Anyway, back to ducks....there I go again... Jack is pretty much full grown with a complete set of feathers and large wings. I think he's ready to fly. We are hoping that Jill matures a little bit more in a couple days because we are planning to release them on Thursday! Watch for updates!
Last but definitely not Least
I was absolutely tickled pink the other day when I got a message from Laurie at SBB (she is one of the design team members from my scrapbook site I've been quite involved with over the last two years). She wanted to know if I'd be interested in being interviewed for their digital publication (SBB Ezine) for the September issue. She picks one member each month, and this time she picked me! I am so honored and surprised at the same time. There are 50,000+ member's on this site! Wowwza, do I feel special!!!

LOVE the ducks!!!!!! I took care of a hurt duck for three weeks back in 2003 (it lived in my apartment bathtub!) and loved it. I want a pet duck someday. Or a goose. I'm terribly jealous!!! LOVE the pictures!
Congratulations on the interview! You'll have to let all of us locals know how it goes. You are special!
