What an exciting day!!!!
We had Max's Birthday Party today right after school! Life has been crazy, so when I suggested an "after school - before soccer games" party to Max, he was thrilled! Yep, Max and 10 of his friends (plus bus supervisor, Zoe - in last place down the hill) all came piling off the bus today)! What was I thinking???
I can't believe we fit it all into two hours; after school snack, adventure hat distribution, outdoor scavenger hunt (we had an inside hunt planned just in case of rain....thank goodness it wasn't needed), icecream cake, presents, and free time play (plus changing time for those that had to jump into soccer uniforms before the game). Thanks Jill and Steve for getting them all there on time! I "think" they had a great time! I know Max did!
This morning the kids had sombreros and margarita glasses waiting for them on the dining room table to give us another reason to have fun and celebrate. Cinco de Mayo marks Mexico's victory over France in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. It is a celebration of Mexican indendence, much like our 4th of July! Dylan and Max enjoyed a little Mexican dance music on the ol' record player in the kitchen this morning (just like daycare days). Tonight we had a feast of fajitas, chips and salsa (and yes Margaritas...vigin style for those with school tomorrow).
Enjoy the rest of the week!

If I saw all those kids running towards me I think I would have ran the other way. Very brave of you :0)
I have to agree with Kendall on this one......
