HAPPY DAD'S DAY!!! We're OFF!!!

Going to be leaving for a weekend camping trip so I wanted to get my blog updated before I go.

WORK, WORK, WORK...
no wait, summer's here aren't we suppose to be relaxing?? Nope, not yet. I'm trying my darndest to complete all my summer goals. So Summer Goal #3, Get in Shape... I've made a point of doing some sort of strenuous activity or fun active play every day this week. It started this last weekend when Jeff finally took the three of us out to learn how to play tennis. I'm going to master this sport by the end of the summer. Jeff bought the team a new "ball machine" which is pretty high tech and FAST.... and we took turns hitting and retrieving. I think I burned more calories retrieving than I did playing, LOL! Next, I've moved to the remainder of the yard. Only two more big trouble spots to go, and I'll be done with that. Just in time to make the rounds again and pull up the rest of the weeds. So the goal??? I need to loose 10 pounds by the end of the summer, the sooner the better. And when I do, I'm having a sale!!! Yipeee, be watching for it, because it is surely going to happen (think happy thoughts, thing happy thoughts, good vibes, yep, good vibes). Thanks everyone!

So other than all the activity, we've been very busy this week getting ready for our first camping trip of the season. We are hooking up with about 40 of our closest college buddies and their families. We used to always meet up at the coast each year (for about 7 years straight), but after a divorce amongst us, and because of growing families and long distances we've failed to get together the last couple years. So this year we'll be meeting up at a group site we reserved back at the first of the year. We asked a couple local friends to join us also, so now we'll just see how well they get along with our wild college crowd. Truth be told, I think we've all mellowed, and well..... we have 16 kids amongst us now, so I think it should be a great time. Ages ranging from 4 to 14, no one with babies anymore. Wow, that's a first! I'm sure you'll see photos soon. Have a great weekend everyone.

HAPPY DAD'S DAY!!!
To both of our Dads!! I spent the afternoon baking these for you and I'll get them in the mail in the morning. In case they don't make it on time, have a Snicker doodle on us.....

I've got a big announcement about SBB!!! They've asked me to join the "ELEMENTS TEAM"!!!! What does that mean? Well, it means I'll be working closely with some very talented designers at SBB to create some fabulous team kits and freebies for those of you who are members at the site! Wooohoo!

I'm working on a new Mini Collection for SBB, four kits in all. I'll have more for you next week, but until then, here are two of the paper packs (elements almost done).

and JUST BECAUSE I'M WACKY... here's what they looked like when I mixed them together...

OK, I've been tagged AGAIN!!! UUUGH, I have a hard time thinking this deeply about myself. Thanks for the challenge Angela. Next up, I'm tagging all the talented and talkative designers at Plaindigitalwrapper! Go for it girlies!

1. Four of my favorite jobs:
1) Being Mom to Zoe and Max and wife to Jeff
2) Oh, no doubt, cocktail waitressing in college at this big, nice, sophisticated Mexican Restaurant in the city. I was young, full of energy, got to chat with people all day about everyday stuff, and the tips were awesome, yep, about $200+ a night)! Plus I got a free dinner, LOL!
3) The one I have now, working at school, with kids, subbing and helping kids learn.
4) Running a home childcare for 6 years, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

2. Four of my favorite local places
1. My backyard
2. Any of our friend's backyards (after they spray for mosquitoes..LOL)
3. The Olympic National Forest, if you've never been...oh my gosh!!!!
4. The Pacific Coast (going in a couple weeks, woohoo!)

3. Four of my favorite foods
1. Cheese (surprised?)
2. anything Mexican
3. Indian Curry Buffet
4. Don't laugh (Canned Chili, yummm... that's a treat)

4. Four of my favorite international places
I'm with you Angela, never been overseas (yet), but if I could here's where I'd go...
1. Venice (meet you there Ang.)
2. The Caribbean or Jamaica (or somewhere where the water is actually blue and warm)
3. Ireland (going in a couple years, woohoo!)
4. Alaska (just looking at the map today, it's farther away than you think!)

Congratulations on the Elements Team! Those paper packs look fabulous! I SO miss blogging! I think I'll make that a summer goal. I like your list you've got going. But I need to lose WAY more than just 10 pounds! LOL!
