KEEPING BUSYand KEEPING GOALS

IV'E GOT ALL FOUR OF MY NEW PAPER PACKS DONE FOR MY NEW COLLECTION AT SBB
I'm hoping to get it all done and in the store by late next week! I still need to come up with a name and make three frills packs to go with these. Can't wait to see them all together. Here's a sneak peek at all four paper packs!

SUMMER GOALS.....
Do you remember them from a couple weeks ago?

Summer Goal #1 Get Organized

What have I done? Well, this week alone I've cleaned my fridge from top to bottom, cleaned out Max's closet, finished weeding the remainder of the yard, trimmed the roses, emptied the clogged up bucket fountain in the backyard and transferred the kids' pet tadpoles to a fishtank on the back steps, bathed and brushed the dog (that was a huge chore, more later), oiled the outdoor furniture, cleaned up the patio, got a new patio toybox to replace the cracked one and sorted through the kids' outdoor toys and tagged a bunch of more digistuff for my ACDSee program. This in conjunction with the usual laundry, cooking and cleaning. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but lets just say I haven't ran out of things to do!

Oh, and tonight I trimmed up the lavender after the sun went down and the bees disappeared. It is so full this year that you couldn't get up to the front door. I took these photos before I cut and hung a big giant bouquet of the heavenly scented fowers!

And here's Anya the 100 pound Huskey/Lab that lives with us and dumps white hair all over in the summer time. We took on a HUGE job yesterday (Zoe and I) and gave Anya a bath in the kiddie pool outside. She doens't care for the water, especially when she is forced to be in it, but all in all she did pretty well. Between Zoe, Jeff and I we brushed Three (YES, THREE) Wal-Mart bags of hair off of her too. She is a smiley dog, and you can tell she's feeling pretty good today, sitting next to the new tadpole home on our back steps.

Summer Goal #2 Relax and Enjoy Life

Well, today after I got done cleaning up the patio, Zoe and I had fun painting the concrete! Check it out! It was so much fun!

I haven't done too much relaxing yet, there's just too many projects to get done. We did have our camping trip last weekend, which was wonderful, and I have to admit the fact that we have spent almost every evening for the last couple weeks sitting on the couch together and watching a movie. I, of course, with my laptop out. They give me a hard time, but I am such a multitasker, I have a hard time just sitting and watching a movie and nothing else. I can do both at the same time, trust me!!!! And all this rest and relaxation has given me time to start looking into getting my Masters in Ed and finally get certified to officially teach! It's looking pretty good too, more on that later.

Summer Goal #3

It's going slow, but it is going. Zoe and I went for a 2.5 mile hike the other day. I was still sore from the mountain hike I went on the other day (scroll down to the panoramic view I pieced together from the top, you can click on it to enlarge it). I've gotten good and sweaty a few times in the yard this week and tonight I took the kids swimming. I've been eating really well, but it's taking awhile to make up for what I filled my body with while camping (smores and more smores, LOL). I'm hoping, however, to get to my first 5 pound goal in time to have a little celebration sale in the next week! Keep checking back! It's going to be a biggie!

See ya all later, tomorrow's another day!

Amy - I think it's the first time I have left a comment on your blog!(which is beautiful BTW) Just wanted to say how jealous I am of your lovely lavender plants - I have been trying to grow it for years but it always dies over the winter. Yours are so beautiful!
