We're so proud of our kiddos this weekend. It was another jam packed one! So packed, in fact that I've done nothing more today than play. Jeff has taken the kids to the city pool for Max's end of the year soccer party, and I'm home next to the air conditioner. It's close to 100 degrees out there this weekend, which is a shocker to us because it has happened so fast. It's suppose to be back into the 60's by the middle of the week. I guess Mother Nature is having a hard time deciding what to out there, LOL!
LOOK WHAT MY KIDS BROUGHT HOME YESTERDAY!!
Saturday was the last day for the end of the season Fast Pitch Softball Tournament. Zoe has moved up to play with the big girls this year. Although she didn't get to play as much or catch as often as she did on the younger team last year, she had a great time! Her team ened up with SECOND in the league and FIRST in the tournament. There were games going on all day yesterday. Zoe had some good hits, we're so proud of her. We were at the field off and on throughout the day, finishing up pretty late into the evening. Luckily, she had a break between games so we could go watch Max in the "kiddie parade" at our town's annual celebration. Max wore his batman suit and strapped his bat-bunny to the front of his bike. This reminds me so much of Zoe when she was in the parade years ago with her lambs strapped to her bike. I'll have to get out that photo and compare. Max won a trophy too, third place in the kiddie parade. He also won a gold $1, and a $10 bill. He was so so proud, and it was fun to watch him ride his bike through town amongst all the others.
The Take Homes
Of course this wasn't enough to do in one day, it was also High School graduation day, so Jeff attended both the graduation and a big congratulations party for a few of his students. We also had some friends in town that we hadn't seen in awhile so we had a couple get togethers both evenings, last night here at our home, after going out for dinner. There were 17 of us out for dinner, it was a great time and the kids are always so excited to see each other.
SCOUTING WRAPS UP
this week for us as well. Zoe, my little girl, is no longer the "Daisy Girl Scout" that it seems like she was just yesterday. On Thursday night she had her bridging ceremony and graduated from "Junior Girlscout" to "Cadet Scout". I'm very proud of her and glad that she has decided to continue. Not many girls her age are still into this sort of thing, and I am just tickled that she is. It helps that she has some very close friends that join her love of scouting.
Bridging to Cadets
Max's Turn
and Max has now moved up a rank in his cubscouts. He is no longer an "orange scarf" Tiger Scout, but now a "yellow scarf" Wolf. His friend Dylan and him are so cute with their toothless grins.
